Jack Quinn's runner whips cancer, collects 100-run shirt

Robert Prouchet finished his last round of chemotherapy last week.
On Tuesday, he ran with the Jack Quinn's Running Club for the 200th time.
Prouchet had been diagnosed with leukemia, but he said the cancer is in remission. He ran through much of his recovery.
The crowd in the upstairs room at Jack Quinn's cheered as he was called to receive his 100-run shirt.
The club's longtimers are like family, gathering each week to knock off a 5K and then knock back a beer or two.
Paul Zuluaga also ran for the 100th time and joined Prouchet in the Jack Quinn's 'Century Club.'
There are some changes to the schedule coming up over the next three weeks.
Next Tuesday (Dec. 11) the Boulder Running Company, 3659 Austin Bluffs Parkway, will host the club run. Wear your ugly Christmas sweater and bring a dozen (or two dozen) cookies to share. There will be prizes, plenty of Christmas cheer, and the BRC crew promises a visit from the skinniest Santa Claus out there.
On Dec. 18, please bring canned goods or a new, unwrapped toy to the first PikesPeakSports.us/Jack Quinn's Running Club Christmas Bash at Stargazers Theatre. We'll have a 5K course laid out, but you'll be credited with a run if you just show up. We need you there!
We'll have the funky, live zydeco sounds of the band "Tribe," plus O'Dell pints for $2.50 and Stargazers serves some good food. Thee will be vendors and other merry makers there to spread the Christmas cheer.
Stargazers is located at 10 S. Parkside Drive (off of Pikes Peak Blvd., east of Union). Map link here http://bit.ly/RAuGa5.
And more info here http://bit.ly/QGanGB.
See ya there, Quinn's Runners! And bring your friends.
