SUMMARY:The Cheyenne Mountain Run
DESCRIPTION:This event features two trail runs, one for the more advan
 ce trail runner and a 3 mile run for all to enjoy. \nIn the Fall of 2
 018, the Dixon Trail was opened at Cheyenne Mountain State Park in Col
 orado Springs, CO. This trail race will provide runners with a challen
 ging  25k in length. Starting elevation at Limekiln parking lot is 6
 ,060’ and the turn around elevation is approximately 9,200’. There
 fore approximately 3,200 gain and loss.      The 25k will start at
  the Limekiln parking lot, west of the entrance to the state park and 
 entrance fee gate. The racecourse heads west on Talon Trail, turns on
 to North Talon, at about 3.3 miles turns onto the Dixon Trail (DT). R
 unners will then follow the DT to the top meadow and will briefly turn
  onto Mountain Loop Trail and start a counterclockwise loop. This incl
 udes an uphill section on a rocky jeep trail to the top and end point 
 of the DT. At the top of the DT at an elevation of 9,200 feet runners 
 will turn left and run downhill for the entire 4.5 miles of the DT and
  return to the Limekiln Trailhead finish line.       .  Due to th
 e safety of both runners and volunteers, CUT-OFF TIME of 10:45 AM to 
 reach the Dixon saddle will be enforced (located 2.5 miles from start
  of Dixon and 5.8 miles from Start line). The finish line timing stat
 ion will be closed at 2:30 PM.  \nThe 3 Mile race will start at 9:30 
 AM and will follow the Talon trail to the Sundance trail junction at a
 bout 1.5 miles.  The 3M race will turn right onto the Sundance trail 
 and return to the finish at the Limekiln trailhead.  This is a loop c
 ourse with one water stop at the Talon/Sundance junction. \nCost:\nHa
