DESCRIPTION:The 55th running of the Pikes Peak Marathon is set for 7 a
 .m., Aug. 22. Pikes Peak Marathon Selected for This year, the marathon
  is part of the International Sky Running Association's Skyrunner® Wo
 rld Series, which includes 14 races. About 7,000 runners from at least
  37 countries will compete in Skyrunner races this year. To concentrat
 e the competition among top athletes, five major races have been selec
 ted together with nine trials. The Pikes Peak Marathon will be one of 
 the five major races along with premier races in France, Italy, Spain
