DESCRIPTION:\nAs the 2nd leg of the Triple Crown of Running, the race 
 takes place on the trails of Bear Creek Park and High Drive on the wes
 t side of Colorado Springs. The trials are well-groomed dirt trails wi
 th plenty of spectacular scenery. The out-and-back course is mostly up
 hill on the way out. Starting elevation is about 6,120 feet. The highe
 st point is at 7,165 feet for almost a 1,00 foot elevation gain in 3.7
  miles (at the turn around point). This makes a perfect training run f
 or those participating in the the Pikes peak Ascen or the Pikes Peak M
