 ovides FREE nutrition, fitness, and wellness education to kids in a sc
 hool or community group setting! www.starfitkids.org\n\nStarFit Kids, 
 a local 501(c)3 non-profit, was founded in 2009 as a response to the a
 larming rise in childhood obesity and the decrease in physical activit
 y levels in kids. Lelia Davis, RN, President, and Sabra Zirkle, RD, Vi
 ce-President, have created an interactive nutrition and fitness progra
 m for children in the community. The mission of StarFit Kids is to pro
 mote lifelong healthy eating and everyday fitness habits. StarFit Kids
  is unique in that it is the only local organization of it’s kind th
 at offers free nutrition and fitness education to elementary age child
 ren in a school setting or community group. Because the StarFit Kids c
 urriculum is designed to meet the Colorado Physical Education Standard
 s and the new 2010 school legislation, it is a natural fit in the scho
