DESCRIPTION:Cross country running is a lot of fun, whether you are par
 ticipating or cheering runners on.  On September 21, you can do both!
   We'll host an open cross country race at 8am and then the Salida mi
 ddle school and high school races will begin at 9am.  We'll follow th
 e same 5k course as the high school runners in this fun and low key ra
 ce.  A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Spartan cross country
  team, so come on out and give the sport of cross country running a tr
 y!  Registration and check in will take place at the start/finish are
 a of the high school races at Franz Lake.  Cost is $10 for adults and
