SUMMARY:Ride The Rockies Bicycle Tour
DESCRIPTION:The Denver Post Ride The Rockies is an annual bicycle tour
  that takes 2,000 cyclists, assisted by more than 100 volunteers, on a
  6-7 day ride through Colorado’s Rocky Mountains each June.\n\nThe 3
 2nd Tour will showcase the communities of Alamosa, Pagosa Springs, Dur
 ango, Ridgway (supported by Ouray), Montrose, Gunnison, and Salida. Be
 ginning in Alamosa, the ‘Gateway to Colorado’s Great Sand Dunes’
 , the ride will traverse through some of the same mountain passes made
  famous by the historic Denver and Rio Grande Western Railroad and hig
 hlight Wolf Creek Pass, the Million Dollar Highway, the Blue Mesa Rese
 rvoir and Monarch Pass. From Alamosa, cyclists will cover 447 miles an
 d ascend over 32,000’ vertical feet, all the way to the ‘Heart of 
 the Rockies’ in Salida. Online registration is open until February 2
