DESCRIPTION:This bike race will be run in conjunction with the pro raf
 t race through the Royal Gorge.  This course will challenge riders of
  all abilities.  Riders will start at the AAE Beach in Parkdale and h
 ead up the southside of the Royal Gorge.  Part of this 1,100 foot cli
 mb is listed as an above category climb, in other words it is steep. 
  Once you get tothe top of the south rim you will ride across the worl
 d famous Royal Gorge Bridge and Park.  Once you get to the north side
  you will wind your way down to US Hwy 50 and take the 8 mile trip dow
 nhill into Cañon City.  The race will finish on the 4th Street Bridg
 e as it crosses the Arkansas River.  This is an amazing 20 mile race 
 that will challenge all riders.  And just for good measure the bicycl
 ists are also racing the rafters as they take the 10-mile trip thourgh
  the Gorge to the Cañon City Whitewater Park.\n\nFor more information
