 un/Walk.  Get some exercise, hang out with friends and meet new peopl
 e - what a great way to kick off the new year! We even plan for a late
 r start for those of you who may have stayed up just a bit too late th
 e night before. This is a beginner friendly event, so if you've never 
 participated in an organized walk/run event before, this is the perfec
 t place to start. Moms and dads, strollers are welcome at this event a
 nd pet owners – your well behaved dogs are also welcome. We'll award
  prizes to the top finishers and best costumes and have hot drinks, sp
 arkling cider and snacks for everyone. Race registration forms will be
  available on-line and at the Salida Hot Springs Aquatic Center beginn
 ing December 1 for pre-registration; race day registration will take p
 lace at the Salida Scout Hut beginning at 9 am. This event also kicks 
 off the 2015 Fitness Challenge with Salida Rec. Cost is $10; race begi
