SUMMARY:Leave No Trace Trainer Certification Course 
DESCRIPTION:This course is a must for anyone wanting to work, educate,
  or recreate in the outdoors. Learn how to identify impacts, and simpl
 e ways you can avoid them while still enjoying the backcountry.\n\nIn 
 partnership with the landowner, this course offers students a unique o
 pportunity to get “hands-on” and apply their personal outdoor ethi
 c in a transitional landscape ranging from pristine old growth timber 
 to hidden caves to heavily impacted riparian areas. Students will gain
  an understanding of Leave No Trace in relation to differing user grou
 ps with potentially conflicting interests. New Trainers will also exam
 ine various teaching and learning styles, methods for teaching Leave N
 o Trace to varying audiences, and resources to help present the LNT me
 ssage in their future endeavors.\n\nCourse will consist of a 1/2 day c
 lassroom introduction on Saturday followed by a 1/2 day hike, and a fu
 ll day of hiking and presenting on Sunday. Students will teach an LNT-
 related principle to the group on Sunday afternoon. Upon completion, s
 tudents will receive Trainer certificate from the Leave No Trace Cente
 r for Outdoor Ethics in Boulder, CO.\n\nThis course includes moderate 
 hiking and personal hiking gear is required. Enrollment is limited to 
 10 students.\n\nWhere: Williams Canon, Manitou Springs, CO. Classroom
