  County Parks to provide a unique trail race event at the new Red Moun
 tain Open Space on July 11th. This 13 - 15 mile race (we're still work
 ing on the course), to date, is the only organized race approved in th
 is park. This is a unique, pristine area with incredible scenic, natur
 al, and cultural values and history. In fact, until this area became a
  park, very few people had been through this area as it has been a pri
 vate ranch for a couple hundred years. As such, this race is limited t
