DESCRIPTION:Join the Trails and Open Space Coalition for the 20th Annu
 al Starlight Spectacular on June 14th, 2014. This fun night-time bicyc
 le ride is suitable for all ages and abilities.\nAll proceeds benefit 
 the Trails and Open Space Coalition's mission,\n\"...the preservation 
 of open space and parks, and the creation of a network of trails, bike
 ways and greenways for the Pikes Peak region.\"\nBegins and ends at th
 e Garden of the Gods Visitor and Nature Center, recognized by TripA
 dvisor as one of the top parks in America.\nFestivities start at p.m.
  with music, food and drink. Ted's Bicycles will donate two cruiser bi
 kes for the best illuminated bike and costume contest.\nThere will be 
 themed rest stops, hot breakfast and more prizes after the ride.\nLoca
 tion and route map.\nThere are a number of options for the ride. Route
 s range from 14, 17 or 22 miles.\nThe longer routes include an enchant
 ing loop through Garden of the Gods park. This includes a couple of hi
 lls, but is the most scenic of the possible tours.Heading west from th
 e Visitor Center, majestic red rock formations greet you. Turning nort
 h you will find yourself winding through the park seeing it as few oth
 ers do, since the park is normally closed to visitors at night. From t
 here, you turn on 30th Street and begin your ride through the streets 
 of Colorado Springs. You have the option of coming back into the Garde
 n at the Trading Post off Beckers Lane or you may ride the Foothills T
 rail back to the Visitor Center.\nIf you choose not to ride the hills 
 of the park, you may skip the Garden, head north on 30th Street and ta
 ke the shorter 14-mile ride beginning on 30th St.  Along the way, you
  will have two rest stops sponsored by the Colorado Springs Cycling Cl
 ub, REI and Old Town Bike Shop.\nHelmets are required for the ride, as
  are lights, both front and rear. It can be very dark in the Garden an
 d lights will make you more easily seen by motorists on city streets.\
